  • 1/4 cup blanched spinach, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • Some coriander leaves, chopped
  • Whole wheat dough
  • Oil, for brushing

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, combine the paneer, spinach, mozzarella cheese, salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, onion, and green chillies. Mix well.
  • Take a ball of whole wheat dough and roll it out into a thin circle.
  • Place a handful of the paneer mixture in the center of the circle.
  • Fold the circle in half, then fold it in half again, so that you have a square.
  • Brush the square with oil.
  • Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the square on the griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with butter, ghee, or achaar.

Tips:

  • For a spicier version, add more green chillies or  Badshah chaat masala.
  • To make the lifafa more crispy, cook them for an additional minute or two per side.
  • You can also add other vegetables to the paneer mixture, such as carrots, peas, or corn.
