Raw mangoes are a go-to fruit in the summers when it comes to trying something different. It’s loved in all its forms, be it it’s raw slices or a pickle made with it.

But unlike all of the above Mango Candy recipe is a twist to make raw mangoes for kids an exciting choice and they get its healthy content as well. It’s made with Badshah Chaat Masala which is an innovative way to try the tangy combination of raw mangoes and chat masala.

Tangy mango candy has a cooling effect on the body, making them a refreshing and rejuvenating fruit during hot summer months, while also relieving heatstroke and dehydration. It’s low in calories and high in fibers so it also aids in weight management. Mango Candy making is a simple and easy task, ingredients and steps are mentioned below.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups roughly chopped raw mangoes
  • 3-4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves (pudina)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder (kalimirch)
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin seeds / jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp black salt (sanchal)

Steps to follow

  1. Take a pan and add chopped raw mangoes, sugar and ½ cup of water and cook it on a medium flame for 10 minutes or till the blend turns mushy.
  2. Switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool completely.
  3. Transfer the raw mango mixture into the blender and add mint leaves, pepper powder, cumin seeds powder, black salt, salt to taste and 1 1/2 cup water.
  4. Blend it till it becomes smooth and pour the mixture into 8 ice cream molds.
  5. Insert the ice cream stick and let the sweet and sour mango candies freeze for 8 hours or overnight.
  6. To unmold, allow the molds of tasty mango candy to remain outside the freezer for 5 minutes and then unmold by pulling it out, and yes that’s the last step of this easy mango candy recipe.
  7. Your raw mango candy for kids or even adults are now ready to be enjoyed immediately.
