Matar Makahna Curry
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 cup Makhana
- 1 tsp Jeera
- 1/4 tsp hing
- 1 Onion medium
- 2 Tomatoes large
- ½ tbsp Ginger
- ½ tbsp Garlic
- ¼ cup Water
- 1 ½ cups Matar
- 1/2 cup Malai
- Coriander leaves to garnish
- ½ tsp Haldi
- 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Dhaniya Powder
- ½ tsp Garam Masala
- 1tsp Kitchen King Masala
Method:
- Cut your onions and tomatoes into even pieces and roast till they are slightly browned.
- Blend the roasted veggies into a smooth puree.
- In a hot pan add oil followed by jeera and hing.
- Roast for a minute and add the remaining spices, roasting till they are aromatic.
- Add the puree and let the mixture cook for two minutes till it is slightly reduced
- Add the malai and continue to cook for two minutes.
- Add the water and bring to a boil
- Once the mixture has come together add cooked peas and roasted makhana
- Cook for one minute and add the coriander leaves.
- Garnish with more makhana and enjoy!
