Creative Recipes with Leftover Food

Masala Idli

Made From: Leftover Idlis/Idli-Dosa Batter

We all have leftover idlis or idli-dosa batter left after a meal, which lands up in the fridge, but don’t push it at the back of the fridge shelf and instead take it out the next day to make masala idlis. These bite-sized delights will feel like you are having street food-all chatkaaredaar and tasty.

All you have to do is cut the idlis into four halves and pan-fry them with spices from Badshah Masala. Sautee chillies, onions and tomatoes, add Badshah Masala like Coriander Powder, Garam Masala, Chat Masala, and add the idlis to this base. Sprinkle Chilli flakes or Piri Piri Masala just before you switch off the stove, to add the kick of flavours in the otherwise bland idlis. Whether you are eating this for breakfast or an evening snack, it is sure to tantalise your taste buds in just no time.
